AUSTIN COLBURN

Member

Austin Colburn is an Actor, Singer, and Dancer originally from Houston and proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. In 2020, he graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. 

 

Austin has been seen on many stages across the Greater Houston Area. His credits include: Otto (Spring Awakening, TUTS), Swing/ Don Cover (A Chorus Line, TUTS), Ensemble (Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, TUTS), JD (Heathers, Iconotheatrix), Ren (Footloose, SHSU), Jack Kelly (Newsies, CCT), Johnny (American Idiot, LoneStar College - Montgomery), Danny (Grease, Playhouse 1960), Riff (West Side Story, The Owen Theatre). 

 

In addition to acting, Austin enjoys choreographing and conceptualizing unique ideas for productions. Most notably, Austin played an integral part of the creative team and choreographed for a modernized, pop culture influenced production of Seussical using styles such as Hip Hop and those seen in Harlem Ballroom (also known as Voguing). 

 

Outside of his career, Austin enjoys writing music and shows, dabbling in other art forms, and empowering younger performers to chase and achieve their dreams. Austin currently plans to relocate to New York City to pursue his career with the help and encouragement from his agency and loved ones.
